Vetting Standards

Since 2002 County Teachers has operated strict quality control in all aspects of recruitment, vetting and registration to ensure that all our supply staff more than match the regulatory standards set by the DCSF.

We recognise the legal obligations placed on schools when recruiting from agencies for their staffing needs. School will comprehensively and efficiently comply with all of their legal obligations for Safer Recruitment in Education offering complete peace of mind when booking staff through County Teachers.

County Teachers vetting checks/registration process includes:

  • In-depth face-to-face interviews
  • Critical assessment of two most recent professional references
  • Identity checks
  • Health checks
  • Qualifications check
  • Criminal backgrounds check including CRB Enhanced Disclosures and List 99'
  • GTC check
  • Permission to work in the UK check
